Co-op Planning Meeting!

Hello neighbors!

This month’s Co-op Planning Meeting will be held this Tuesday, July 20th. We will be welcoming guest speaker, Lori Burge of People’s Food Co-op to our community Tuesday night. Lori is the master mind behind People’s possible ‘Co-op incubator’ project! She often fields questions from new start ups like ourselves. Helping fledgling co-ops through the growing pains, Lori is a great resources, friend and mentor through the process.

The Planning Meetings are also a great way to help the Co-op grow. If you are interested in how we shape the Co-op and aid in it’s growth please do attend the meetings. The meetings are open to the public and we love to hear feed back, comments, questions and concerns from our future members. The are no dumb questions, just often ones. We love to hear it all, it helps to know what you think in order for the Co-op to take shape in a form we can all be proud of!

Announcements:

• We still have three seats on the judge panel fro the Co-op Logo Design Contest. Michelle Week and Sybille Guy are currently volunteered. The judges will get together sometime the week after the Logo Design Contests deadline of July 29th.
• The Farmer’s Markets have all been great successes. The  Co-op has reached out to an average of 20 people each Market we have attended! Many people we’ve meet have either never heard of cooperatives and are very excited to learn about them and others didn’t know we were out here working so hard to create one in the Camas Community! So please come out and volunteer to staff the Farmer’s Market booth, it’s a great opportunity to meet your neighbors and tell them about this great addition to our community!
